Tenisha Warner, the widow of Malcolm Jamal-Warner, is suing the late actor’s financial advisor and business manager.

Before the actor passed away last year at the age of 54, Tenisha filed a lawsuit against a guy she claims worked for Malcolm as a business manager and financial advisor from 1996 until 2023.

According to the lawsuit, Malcolm’s staff helped him with his insurance requirements and estate planning, initially leaving his mother, Pamela Warner, with the majority of his wealth.

After having a child in 2017, Malcolm and Tenisha tied the knot a few years later.

Tenisha said that Malcolm gave the adviser instructions to modify his estate plans in order to provide for Tenisha and the child, and that documents were even created to carry out the modifications. However, she maintains that these adjustments were never completed prior to Malcolm’s passing.

Tenisha claimed that Malcolm had also asked the advisor to assist her and their daughter in obtaining a $2 million life insurance policy, but the advisor never followed up on that request. She is now pursuing undisclosed damages in a lawsuit against the advisor for professional malpractice.

Tenisha is already suing Malcolm’s mother over the trust, which she claims excluded his daughter and keeps her from receiving any money from her father’s inheritance.
