Tate McRae is once again proving that looking effortlessly cool is apparently a full-time job.
The songwriter is showing off her figure in Adidas’ new Originals Sport collection. And yes, the timing is perfect, because if you are going to launch a fresh sportswear line, why not have Tate McRae make everyone else feel slightly underdressed?
Fresh off Adidas’ World Cup spotlight, the brand is stepping into a new era with Originals Sport. The women’s collection mixes performance technology with the streetwear style Adidas has been serving for decades.
Basically, it is gym clothes that do not want to stay in the gym.
The collection officially debuted in New York City on July 22. It then became available to shoppers on July 23. So, fans did not have to wait long before trying to recreate the looks themselves. Whether they were actually planning to work out is another question.
McRae helped bring attention to the collection by showing off the pieces with her signature confident style. The singer has built a reputation for combining athletic looks with pop-star energy. Naturally, she makes it look much easier than it probably is.
The collection takes inspiration from the iconic Adidas Superstar tracksuit. But it does not stop there. The lineup includes bras, leggings, tanks, onesies and layering pieces.
That means you can apparently wear your workout clothes for almost everything now.
The campaign stars Tate McRae, Emilia Mernes and volleyball player Harper Murray, showcasing Adidas’ vision of women who move between sport, music and culture, while the collection updates Adidas Originals signatures, including Trefoil branding and three-stripe details, with feminine silhouettes and performance features like Climacool, AdiSoft and LYCRA Adaptiv.
With Originals Sport, the brand is betting that modern women want clothing that can keep up with busy lives. The collection is sporty, stylish and flexible enough for different occasions.
Tate McRae simply adds the star power. And if her latest looks are anything to go by, Adidas may have another hit on its hands.
