In one video, the couple holds their young son in front of a fish tank at an aquarium. Another clip shows them laughing while doing a skincare routine together.
It is unclear when the photos and videos were taken. They were posted 23 days before the July 24 separation date listed in Brittney Griner’s divorce petition.
Griner, 35, filed for divorce Thursday in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia after eight years of marriage. Court documents state the marriage is “irretrievably broken” with “no hope of reconciliation.” The couple separated July 24, according to the filing.
The pair married in June 2018. They welcomed a son, Bash Raymond Griner, in 2024. Cherelle Griner was a prominent public advocate during Brittney Griner’s nearly 10-month detention in Russia in 2022, pressing for her release through a high-profile prisoner swap.
Brittney Griner is in her first season with the Connecticut Sun after previous stints with the Phoenix Mercury and Atlanta Dream. She is a multiple-time WNBA All-Star and the league’s all-time leader in blocked shots.
