Former NFL wide receiver Stedman Bailey and a woman were arrested on indecent exposure charges after police said the pair engaged in public sexual activity at a bowling alley and arcade bar inside Pembroke Lakes Mall.arcade bar inside Pembroke Lakes Mall.arcade bar inside Pembroke Lakes Mall.
The incident occurred just before 12:30 a.m. July 27 at Round1 Bowling and Arcade, according to the Pembroke Pines Police Department.
Bailey, 35, of Miramar, and Karina Manderson, 35, of Pembroke Pines, were accused of having sex in the bar area while other customers were present. Officers responded after receiving reports of two people engaged in sexual activity at the bar.
Surveillance footage reviewed by police showed Manderson “leaned over at the waist” with Bailey behind her, according to the arrest report. A witness told investigators she observed the two having intercourse and asked them to stop. Bailey then pulled up his pants, and the pair slowly left the bar area, the report said.
Both admitted drinking multiple shots at the bar. Bailey told police “they both had their pants down” and that he was exposing himself, but claimed “penetration never took place.” Manderson said she did not remember the incident. Investigators found no evidence that either person’s drinks had been tampered with.
Bailey and Manderson were arrested later that morning and charged with indecent exposure (also referred to in court records as exposure of sexual organs). Both pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charges and were released after posting bail, according to court records.
Bailey was selected by the St. Louis Rams in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of West Virginia. He played three seasons with the Rams from 2013 to 2015 before his career was cut short. In 2015, Bailey was shot while sitting in a parked car in Miami Gardens. He recovered from the injuries but retired from professional football.
Before West Virginia, Bailey attended high school in South Florida at Miami Carol City Senior High and Miramar High School.
The case remains pending.
