Just two weeks before her passing, Hayden Panettiere sobbed while posing in a bathtub in a poignant ad video. The beloved Heroes and Nashville actress was found “unresponsive” at a posh Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday.
911 dispatchers reported that Hayden, who battled alcohol and opiate addiction, was experiencing a cardiac arrest and may have overdosed. The actress is now seen making an appeal on behalf of PETA, or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, in a shocking video.
Hayden can be seen posing in a bathtub and delivering an emotive message on the cruelty of marine animal confinement. She stated:
“Imagine spending your entire life in a bathtub. That’s what it’s like for dolphins and whales in tiny tanks at marine amusement parks.”
“Can you imagine their frustration, their trauma, their depression?
“All that’s important and crucial for their well-being is ripped away.
“They swim in endless circles, day after day, year after year, in front of gawking, screaming spectators—often being poked and prodded.”
Hayden goes on to bemoan the fact that dolphins, who can swim up to 60 miles a day in the wild, are confined to tiny tanks and kept away from their natural habitat.
As a well-known animal advocate, Hayden once paddled through blood-stained waters in Japan to confront dolphin poachers who were massacring animals.
