Papoose is apparently done with subtlety. The rapper has taken his love for boxing champion Claressa Shields to the next level. And by “next level,” we mean putting her name directly on his arm.
Because nothing says, “I’m serious about you” quite like making sure your relationship has its own permanent ink.
Papoose showed off the new tattoo honoring Shields as their romance continues to make headlines. The tattoo appears to be a very loud declaration of affection. No guessing, no decoding, no “Are they together?” detective work. Her name is right there.
That is one way to make a relationship official.
The timing is also interesting. Papoose’s new tattoo comes as his estranged wife, Remy Ma, has released “Wanna Go,” a fiery track that many listeners believe contains more shots at the rapper and his relationship with Shields.

Sharing the ink on Instagram, Pap flaunted the inkwork of his new boo. He wrote:
“Salute to @Kwon.doe for bringing this amazing art to life. @claressashields”
The gesture returns the favor after Shields previously debuted a ‘Papoose’ tattoo of her own.
Its timing is especially notable.
Released in the same frame, ‘Wanna Go’ samples Crime Mob’s Hip-Hop classic ‘Knuck If You Buck’ and follows Shields’ recent claim that critics expected Papoose to “downgrade” after Remy.
The Bronx rapper appears to flip that remark into a “hand-me-down” theme, while also delivering pointed “Clarence” and “clearance” wordplay seemingly aimed at Shields.
Honestly, this situation has everything. Boxing, rap, tattoos, diss tracks, romance, and enough social-media chaos to keep everyone entertained.
Papoose has now put his feelings on his arm. Remy Ma has put hers on a track.
Subtlety clearly did not make the guest list.
Whether the tattoo becomes a lasting symbol of love or simply another chapter in a very messy celebrity saga remains to be seen. For now, Papoose has made his position pretty clear.
