Texas Roadhouse is facing a wave of online criticism after social media posts made disturbing allegations about employees allegedly mistreating Black customers.
According to posts circulating online, employees were allegedly members of a large private Facebook group where users discussed mistreating Black customers. Some of the claims are especially disturbing, including allegations that employees spit in customers’ food.
So, apparently there’s a FB group of 400k+ white members who work as servers at Texas Roadhouse and Logan’s that are spitting in black peoples food. They are also licking their fingers and touching the rolls. I want this to be fake news so bad, but apparently it’s not.

Yes, you read that correctly. Spitting in someone’s food.
Have y’all seen this or heard anything about this in Texas? There’s a facebook group filled with yts (400,000) saying they spit in black people’s food. Texas Roadhouse and Logan’s were named specifically. pic.twitter.com/RXWfFCf9Ai

Apparently, some corners of the internet are still trying to make basic customer service sound like an extreme sport.
On Sunday, X user @yannaarose_ claimed that a Facebook group with more than 400,000 members, allegedly made up of servers at Texas Roadhouse and Logan’s, included discussions about spitting in Black customers’ food and other forms of mistreatment.
She claimed, “They are also licking their fingers and touching the rolls. I want this to be fake news so bad, but apparently it’s not.”
The post was later amplified by other accounts, including @FearedBuck, and quickly sparked outrage online.
One user on X wrote, “So don’t eat at Texas Roadhouse if you’re a person of color. Got it. Apparently there is a group on Facebook with 400k members and they have agreed to spit in our food as a collective. Disgusting, demonic souls.. i swear.”
Another added, “As if I needed another reason not to go to Texas Road House….anyway they probably gonna say they spit in ALL the food so they aren’t racist.”
The allegations quickly spread across social media. People reacted with anger and disgust. Others called for an investigation before anyone jumps to conclusions.
@FearedBuck later shared a screenshot that was presented as an official statement from Texas Roadhouse.
The statement said, “At Texas Roadhouse, we are committed to creating an environment where every guest is treated with respect and unreasonable hospitality. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or mistreatment of any kind, and we expect our Roadies to treat every guest with dignity and care. Our commitment to the communities in which we serve remains unchanged: provide Legendary Food, Legendary Service to every guest who walks through our doors.”
For now, the claims circulating online remain allegations. The facts need to catch up with the outrage.

Until then, social media will keep doing what social media does best: grabbing the popcorn and waiting for the next update.
