The University of Florida freshman who became Saturday’s unexpected television star has put a name to the clip.
Peyton Blomquist, an Orlando-area nutritional sciences student, identified herself Sunday as the Gators fan shown in a prolonged crowd shot during No. 21 Florida’s 52-28 victory over then-No. 4 Mississippi at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. She posted a broadcast screenshot on Instagram with the caption “Go Gators!” and later shared a multi-photo recap from the game under the line “Work the cut.”
The post, which includes images from the stands and the outfit seen on the telecast, quickly drew tens of thousands of likes as viewers matched her face to the clip that spread across X, TikTok and Instagram overnight.
The moment arrived early in the fourth quarter of an ABC broadcast, with Florida leading 31-21 and facing second-and-goal. Cameras cut from the field to the student section, lingered on Blomquist in a black cutout top and gold necklace, then slowly pulled back to a wider crowd shot. The hold was longer than a typical reaction cutaway, and social media noticed immediately.
Blomquist did not hide. Instead of locking her accounts, she leaned into the attention with game-day photos and a caption that treated the camera work as part of the joke. Friends and new followers filled the comments with congratulations, Gators emojis and jokes that her major should be listed as “going viral at a football game.”

According to her public profiles and subsequent reporting, Blomquist is a first-year nutritional sciences student on a pre-med track and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. The Spun identified her as an Orlando native. Multiple outlets said she was salutatorian of her high school class and held leadership roles in science clubs, including founding a chemistry club and serving as president of a biology and medicine group. Her TikTok account, @peyton_blomquist, already had nearly 30,000 followers before Saturday, with fitness-focused videos that match her major.
The follower spike was immediate. Outlets tracking her Instagram said she entered the weekend under 10,000 followers and climbed past 16,500 within a day; a later update put the count above 22,000. The “Work the cut” carousel itself had drawn roughly 28,000 likes by Sunday evening. TikTok remained near 29,000 to 30,000 as of the same reports.
