After the NCAA handed down its sanctions to USC, they are now turning their sights on the University of Kentucky. TMZ.com has learned from a source that was interviewed by NCAA investigators that they are interested in four players; two current and two former players that were JUST drafted by the NBA.
The NCAA is interested one of the former player’s relationship with his current agent. They are curious about multiple meetings that took place while he was attending the University of Kentucky and as far back as high school.
I know that head coach John Calipari is only entering his second year at Kentucky, but Kentucky fans should be worried. Trouble with the NCAA follows Calipari wherever he goes. This is not the first time the NCAA has looked at a program he was coaching.
I think Bob Knight was right on point on his assessment of Calipari :
“We’ve gotten into this situation where integrity is really lacking and that’s why I’m glad I’m not coaching,” he said. “You see we’ve got a coach at Kentucky who put two schools on probation and he’s still coaching. I really don’t understand that.”
I hope the NCAA doesn’t take 5 years to announce their findings.
