New Texas Longhorns coach Charlie Strong is trying to resurrect the football program that made them a perennial contender for the National Championship.
However, to do this you must change the culture and break in new traditions, in this case a new hype video.
Check out the new preview video for the Longhorns.
Texas hasn’t been relevant since former coach Mack Brown and quarterback Vince Young led them to a come from behind win over powerhouse USC in the 2006 Rose Bowl to win the National Championship.
After losing in the 2009 BCS Championship to Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide, the Longhorns football program have become mediocre at best. A far cry from when Mack Brown led to them 5 straight bowl game victories and that one elusive National Championship.
Some teams are one hit wonders, but I’m sure Head Coach Strong is wanting to repeat that tradition of helping Texas regain their powerhouse status.
Strong’s debut will be a treat, facing Number 11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish in South Bend.
