Goran Dragic talks about his start up in the NBA and Rookie hazing he got from Shaquille O’Neal.
According to Palm Beach Post,
When Goran Dragic made the jump from Slovenia to the NBA, he had plenty to overcome. At 21 years old, he was undersized, struggled with the English language and was trying to establish himself on one of the top teams in the league.
Dragic mostly avoided rookie hazing, particularly since most of the Phoenix veterans were not interested in carrying it out, but Shaquille O’Neal (formerly of the Heat) was not about to miss out on that fun.
“I always had to carry his piano keyboard,” Dragic said. “Is that the word, keyboard? I always had to carry that for him on the road. I didn’t know why he needed it. A couple of times his room was next to mine and I never heard him playing that thing. He was messing with me.”
Sounds like Shaq just had to get it out of his system another good time, It could’ve been worse right?
