Doug Baldwin isn’t immune to the anger of American’s who believe he should just shut up and play football.
The Seattle Seahawks wide receiver told ”60 Minutes Sports” that he’s received death threats in the wake of his decision to speak out about the need for reviewing police tactics.
Baldwin believes the threats come from him expressing support for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
”I had a few. A couple of people told me to watch my back.”
Baldwin called for the Attorney General to review the training policies and regime for law enforcement across the country in the wake of a pair of police shootings.
Baldwin says he will not stay silent — following Kaepernick’s sentiments, that “if something was to happen to me” — it would further prove the point about the issues in our society.
