Kristaps Porzingis is making it rain with every block he’s delivering this season to NYC youth basketball. For every block he produces, he will donate $500.
In case you needed a reminder as to what Kristaps Porzingis can do, refer to the link above. Porzingis has not only flourished as a rim protector this season (sorry I’m obsessed with how good he’s gotten) and his blocking game was reached new levels. The Knicks star is however, putting his blocks to even better use and also making a connection with NYC communities.
The New York Knicks forward will donate $500 for each of his blocked shots for the rest of the season to the RENS, a New York-area, not-for-profit youth basketball program.
The RENS will use the donations from the ”KrisStops” campaign for the Ben Jobe Educational and Scholarship Fund. It will help provide RENS participants with free tutoring, SAT prep and tuition money for students in third to eighth grades.
If that’s not another reason to like Porzingis, I don’t know what is.
