The UFC has very few guarantees and fans can always expect a few surprises throughout the year.
2016 was one of the wildest years in UFC history. Belts changed hands regularly, suspensions were a plenty, PPV cards saw last-minute changes and established stars delivered huge numbers.
In 2017 fans can expect just as many, if not more, surprises to occur in 2017. Here are a few shocking & not-so shocking predictions for 2017.
Not-So Shocking: Conor Doesn’t Box Floyd Mayweather
All of the talk in the combat sports world currently revolves around Floyd vs Conor but as the year goes on the talk will once again die down and Conor will turn his sights toward furthering his UFC legacy.
Shocking: Conor McGregor Fights 3x in 2017 & defends his featherweight title
Dana White thinks McGregor is out for 10-months. Did anyone tell that to McGregor? It’s hard to see Conor staying away for that long and I expect to see him fight in May/June, August & again in December. McGregor’s return fight will be against the featherweight interim champ but after that I expect him to finish the Diaz trilogy & challenge for the 170lb title in December.
