Criticisms will pour in from every angle at one point in life. In this case, Byron Scott continues to critique D’Angelo Russell except this time, it’s a big deal.
By now, Byron Scott’s criticisms on D’Angelo Russell shouldn’t come as surprise to anyone but perhaps this time around, he might actually listen. The soon to be 21-year old needs a serious reality check and who better than his ex-coach to deliver it?
Scott appeared on “L.A. Today” on AM570 when Fred Roggin asked if he believes the 20-year-old will ever become the breakout NBA stud he was touted to be coming out of college.
“The jury is still out,” Scott said … “but he’s got to grow up.”
Now before you say anything, Scott did credit Russell a lot by saying that he has a lot of potential but if he doesn’t change, it’s just wasted talent. Russell could be way better than where he is currently at. He’s landing about 14 points per game.
If there’s anything that A Bronx Tale taught us is to never waste talent.
