Over the weekend Zach Randolph’s home was search by cops looking for suspects in the beating of James Beasley. At the time the story sounding a bit odd and Randolph wasn’t arrested or charged with anything.
Now that we have more details of what went down it all starts to make sense and it isn’t a good look for Randolph.
James Beasley, 26, told KGW that he went to Randolph’s home to sell marijuana and when there was a disagreement over price, so several men beat him up and hit him with a pool stick.
“He (Randolph) snatched it like basically saying, ‘I’m taking your weed,” Beasley said.
After Beasley told the same story to detectives from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, they searched Randolph’s home around 12:30 Sunday morning. Clackamas County Sheriff’s Sgt. James Rhodes said evidence taken from the home backs up the victim’s allegations.
Beasley said he suffered a concussion in the attack. His brother, Robert, told KGW that they were upset with Randolph for not stopping the attack.
Where I am from these type of “disagreements” happened often. Does every player in the NBA has goons and smoke weed? You would think if you were making millions of dollars, you wouldn’t get into a fight with a small time drug dealer.
First off you don’t want the police sniffing around, secondly you don’t want the small time drug dealer to make himself into a big time name by shooting you.
