Drake has had a major year with the success of his fifth studio album ‘Scorpion‘ and was also highly publicized for his Pusha T beef with information being revealed about his child he had with Sophie Brussaux. He is also bringing in a huge bag from the success of his OVO clothing line.
According to Business Of Fashion, Drizzy is expected to rack in $50 million in merchandise sales from 2018. Products available for purchase have been t-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies, hats, and accessories such as water bottles and key chains.
Drake started the clothing line with Oliver El-Khatib and music producer Noah “40” Shebib.
“Our shops are the most authentic way to experience the brand and our products,” said El-Khatib. “Many of our staff are friends and have become crew members, which all makes for a unique, family-like atmosphere which consumers pick up on.”
OVO sales will continue to increase tremendously as more merch will be in demand with Drake and Migos ‘Aubrey And The Three Amigos Tour they’re currently on. Drake could also possibly see a Young Money tour with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne as Wayne recently said in an interview with TIDAL that he’d like to make that happen.
