According to Business Insider, Jeff Tran is probably not going to see the light of day for quite some time now.
Tran tried to pull a fast one on a couple Fortune 500 companies and got caught. Surprise, surprise. The soon-to-be former Director of Sports and Marketing Alliances at Microsoft got indicted for illegally scalping the 62 tickets the NFL gave Microsoft for their partnership, selling them off for $200K, and keeping all the money for himself.
Tran was supposed to distribute the tickets to his coworkers and soon-to-be former friends. In addition, the indictment also stated that Tran created fake invoices of $775K and $670K to fake Microsoft venders, and wired the money to his account.
Tran is going to be arraigned in Seattle within the next few weeks for the crime. Apparently, Tran isn’t as good a finesser as he thought he was.
Microsoft claims that the invoices are what tipped them off. However, I think one of his 62 coworkers had to snitch on him because they didn’t get to go to the damn Super Bowl when they knew for a fact that they had tickets to the game. I know I would have…
