The NFL 100 All-Time Team has been met with plenty of controversy through the course of its weekly revealings.
For the last several weeks position groups have been revealed for the All-Time team and each list has caused spirited conversation and debate.
This week the NFL’s top 10 wide receivers were revealed and while the expected greats such as Jerry Rice and Randy Moss were on the list, there was a glaring omission.
Terrell Owens.
Owens, is no.3 all-time in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. His incredible performance back in Super Bowl 39 (9 catches, 122 yards) coming back from a devastating leg injury remains the stuff of legend.
While brash on and off the field, Owens is no doubt one of the 10 best wide receivers of all-time.
Say what you want about his actions and words inside and outside of the locker room, the production and numbers don’t lie.
The full list included Lance Alworth, Raymond Berry, Larry Fitzgerald, Marvin Harrison, Elroy Hirsch, Don Hutson, Steve Largent, Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, and Paul Warfield.
Twitter furiously reacted to Owens being left off the team.
