Luka Doncic was forced to issue a public apology after unknowingly sharing a racist video on social media.
The video in question appears to be at a basketball game where fans are chanting something in unison, well apparently their chant was racially motivated in a negative way against Albanians.
Not long after posting the since-deleted video, Luka Doncic was on the receiving end of staunch criticism from Deni Hoxha on Twitter, Hoxha is Albanian and didn’t take kindly to what he thought was openly displayed racism from the Dallas Mavericks star.
As expected, Luka Doncic handled the incident like a professional, the video was taken down and he addressed the mishap on his personal Twitter account where he apologized and explained his failure to hear the racist remarks within the video he shared.
All seems to be well now, following the public apology from Luka Doncic, Deni Hoxha expressed his gratitude to Doncic for his swift response and explanation, hopefully, Luka has learned his lesson and will screen videos more carefully before posting them to his large social media following.
