I have told people for years that no one liked Will Cain and he was only there to help ESPN’s MAGA fan base.
It wasn’t just me even people at ESPN (specifically Dan Le Batard).
Now that he is no longer useful at ESPN they are about to let him go to Fox News and we can thank Max Kellerman for that.
ESPN’s resident conservative is heading home, so to speak. Will Cain is expected to return to Fox News, where he had been an on-air political contributor, after five years at the sports network, according to multiple people familiar with his plans.
Some people at ESPN viewed Cain mostly as a shield to that sort of criticism. TV and radio host Dan Le Batard once mentioned Cain by name on the air, suggesting the best way to get hired at ESPN was to be conservative.
One person with knowledge of the decision said it was due in part to Cain not testing well in focus groups; another person involved in the show said it was because Max Kellerman, a “First Take” co-host, did not want Cain participating in the show.
ESPN denied some of those claims, but of course, they couldn’t confirm them now could they?
Thank you Max, we appreciate you.
