New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel expressed appreciation for his family during a press conference Wednesday, telling reporters that things are “really good” on the personal front and that he loves his wife Jen and their sons.
When asked about balancing his professional responsibilities with his personal life, Vrabel said things are “really good.”
“I appreciate [that] my family is great, I love Jen [Vrabel], I love the boys,” Vrabel said. “This spring is focused on the coaching, staff, the players.”
The comments come amid continued public attention over photographs published earlier this year by Page Six showing Vrabel and former Athletic NFL reporter Dianna Russini together at an adults-only resort in Sedona, Arizona, on March 28. The images depicted the pair holding hands, having breakfast, and using the pool and hot tub area. Reports noted that they did not appear to be accompanied by the group of six people referenced in some accounts of the gathering.

Additional older photographs from 2020 showed Vrabel and Russini kissing at a Tribeca bar in New York and holding hands on other occasions. Russini resigned from The Athletic in mid-April following the release of the newer images and the resulting media coverage.
Vrabel had previously described the Sedona interactions as “completely innocent” and called any suggestion of impropriety “laughable.” He said the matter did not deserve further response. Russini stated that the photos did not represent the full group context of people who were present.
In April, Vrabel publicly acknowledged having “difficult conversations” with his family and confirmed he participated in counseling. He missed the final day of the NFL Draft to prioritize family matters, a decision the league supported. He has repeatedly stressed the need to make good decisions on and off the field and has taken accountability for actions that created distraction for his family, the team and the organization.
On Wednesday, Vrabel appeared to sidestep a question about his draft absence.
Vrabel and Jen Vrabel have been married since 1999 and share two sons. The couple was photographed together last month in Utah following counseling sessions.
The Patriots have maintained that it remains business as usual inside the organization as the team prepares for the 2026 season.
