Terrell Owens Wants Donald Trump To Make A Call For Justice In Nolan Wells’ Death

Former NFL star Terrell Owens is making a public appeal for answers in the death of 18-year-old college football player Nolan Wells.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver has called on President Donald Trump to use his influence to help bring attention to the case and support Wells’ family as they continue searching for answers.

Owens shared his message on Instagram, expressing frustration over what he described as a lack of progress in the investigation into Wells’ death. He urged Trump to step in and help push for accountability, saying the family deserves clarity and justice.

“If you can make a call to overturn a call for a soccer match then you can make a call for the JUSTICE of Nolan Wells,” Owens wrote alongside his July 16 video. He also urged Trump to “DO THE RIGHT THING!” According to his post, his message extended beyond one family and reflected broader frustration with how Black families are forced to fight for transparency after a loved one dies under unclear circumstances.

“The justice system, it’s failing us,” Owens said in the video. He explained that he was “speaking from the heart” and suggested that remaining silent was no longer an option. Owens did not claim to have new evidence about what happened to Wells. His statement was instead a demand for greater urgency, visibility and accountability as local investigators continue collecting evidence.

Owens’ message is not simply about a former athlete speaking out. It is about using a public platform to highlight a family’s struggle and bring more attention to an unresolved situation.

In his appeal, Owens compared the Wells case to Trump’s recent involvement in a controversial World Cup disciplinary decision against US forward Folarin Balogun.

Owens’ message reflects a larger concern shared by many families facing similar situations: the need for transparency, accountability, and justice.

For now, Wells’ family continues to wait for answers, while supporters like Owens continue to ask that their search for the truth not be forgotten.
