Montana Yao is turning the page. And this time, she is not looking back.
The model and social media personality recently shared that she got baptized following her separation from NBA star Malik Beasley. Apparently, Yao is ready for a fresh start. And honestly, after everything that comes with a public relationship, who can blame her?
Yao described the moment as a new beginning, a clean slate and said she is stepping into a beautiful, prosperous and wonderful life.
That sounds like a woman who has officially closed one chapter and deleted the draft message.
For Yao, the baptism appears to represent something much deeper than a simple ceremony. It is about faith, healing and moving forward. She seems determined to leave the past where it belongs.

She posted the video of the baptism with her kids with a long post saying:
Today I chose to publicly declare my faith and I had the honor of doing it alongside my babies. I’ve always been a believer but there are times I had doubt and felt lost.
The past 2-3 years have been some of my toughest times and have truly tested me in almost every way. But through it all, God has undeniably and consistently shown his presence.
Looking back, even when I couldn’t see it in the moment he was protecting me and guiding me. He gave me strength in my weakest moments and blessed me in ways I am forever grateful for.
I was nervous to do this because I was scared of what standard I would have to hold myself to after but that is the beautiful thing about it is that it’s all a continuous journey of evolvement, growth, grace, and learning lessons.
But this is step one to continuing to grow and become the woman I want to and was called to be. As I enter my 29th year in 10 days, I am closing my last chapter and entering this one with love, peace, confidence, happiness, gratitude, and excitement.
Thank you to everyone who has been so loving, supportive , and encouraging to my little family. Your kindness has meant more than you know! Much love!! ❤️Cheers to a new beginning! A clean slate! And a beautiful, prosperous, wonderful life to come!
Montana Yao has spoken.
Beasley, who left her and their son for Larsa Pippen, is dealing with the FEDS after being linked to betting on NBA games.
She is moving on. And judging by her message, she plans to do it with faith, optimism and a whole lot of fresh-start energy.
