Jail is usually not known for luxury. There are no spa days, glam squads, or closets full of designer outfits. But according to reports, Courtney Clenney allegedly wanted prison life to come with a little more beauty-pageant energy.
The OnlyFans model was jailed after being accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli. Before her conviction, reports claimed Clenney made several requests about her appearance while awaiting trial.
Among the alleged demands were makeup, hair products, and tighter clothing. Apparently, even jail has a dress code that needs some negotiating.
The convicted killer will spend another two years in prison after pleading guilty to the manslaughter of her then-boyfriend, Christian Obumseli. Clenney stabbed him to death back in 2022 during one of the couple’s vicious fights at their Miami condo.
The Daily Mail reports prison records revealed the former glam star asked for tighter clothes which would show off her curves. One unimpressed corrections officer reportedly told Clenney: “We don’t need to see all that thickness.”
Another staff member also reportedly sarcastically asked her for her autograph. During her stay in Miami’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in February 2023, she pleaded for cosmetics to be added to the jail commissary.
Most people entering court worry about evidence, lawyers, witnesses, and what the judge might say. Clenney allegedly had another item on the checklist: “How is my hair looking?”
The killer requested: “Access to makeup basics can make a difference in appearance/perception in court.”
Clenney also complained: “This especially applies to those like me, who unfortunately face photo + video media coverage during every court appearance.”
In January 2025 she complained: “There are numerous other inmates with actually tight uniforms that are not given a problem about it. Mine is loose and are falling off my hips.”
“’It is obvious Im [sic] being targeted due to my body type, my race, or both. It makes me uncomfortable and I am tired of being sexualized by staff at this facility.”
To be fair, looking good has clearly been part of Clenney’s public image. She built a large online following through adult content and social media. Her appearance was part of the business, but jail is not Instagram.
A month following the complaint, Clenney reportedly demanded her prison fit be changed to a medium from a large. An officer reportedly stated: “We don’t need to see all that thickness. You’ve gained a lot of weight.”
After the comments, Clenney replied: “No officer should comment abt my body/weight.
“Unfortunately, this is representative of the sort of inappropriate comments ive recieved [sic] by staff while at this facility.”
Clenney is currently staying in the Women’s Reception Center in Ocala, Florida, while the state’s Department of Corrections decides what state prison she will be sent to.
And if the reports about her beauty requests are accurate, she apparently wanted to maintain her influencer image right down to the jailhouse door.
