For the sports world, this weekend has to go down as one of the most interesting. Here are a few matchups that made this holiday weekend memorable….
Miami Vs. Florida State
A lot of people thought that this game wouldn’t live up to the tradition of previous Sunshine state battles. Both teams are rebuilding and have a lot to prove. This game not only surpassed expectations, but will go down as one of the seasons best. The young Hurricanes went into Tallahassee ready. Sophomore Jacory Harris introduced himself to the rest of America by throwing for almost 400 yards in the 38-34. FSU true Freshman Greg Reid let us all know that Bobby Bowden can still reel in quality talent. The Seminoles fought a good fight, but couldnt close it out at the end.
Shawne Merriman vs. Tila Tequila
First of all, why was he wifing this chick anyway? How much self esteem do you have that you have to scoop up Ray J’s sloppy seconds. Yes Reggie Bush, that applies to you to. Details are coming in. Check out Robert Littal’s article from Sunday. He has the tweets she posted and everything.
Sam Bradford vs. the Ground
Heisman winner Sam Bradford suffered a shoulder injury this past Saturday. The initial prognosis is 2-4 weeks, but what does that mean for the Sooners? Who knows. They could possibly be out of BCS contention by the time they face the Miami Hurricanes in a few weeks.
The Oakland Raiders vs. The Oakland Raiders
Trading a 1st round pick for Richard Seymour? Like you aren’t going to need that pick in 2011…..Just crazy.
