Von Miller is thinking about his future beyond the NFL. Miller like so many athletes today is aware that he can’t play forever.
Miller’s investment though, is not like any other athletes. Miller majored in poultry science at Texas A&M, and will be putting that degree to use immediately.
According to USA Today, the pro bowl linebacker has purchased 38 chickens to raise on his eight-acre property near Dallas as he hopes to someday become a chicken and poultry tycoon.
“Hopefully I’ll have some chicken tenders for you guys,” Miller said.
During his time as a Aggie, Miller learned about the science of raising chickens and also the business side of the poultry industry.
“I really wanted to get to the fundamentals, getting back to raising chicks,” Miller said. “I raised chicks in college in class and stuff. Now it’s a project for me to do it on my own, and see where I go with it. I’m pretty excited about it.”
