The Hannah Storm “Outfit” That Got Tony Kornheiser Suspended
The first thing I would like to point out is that Merrill Hodge seems to love the outfit a lot more than he does Vince Young, but I digress.
Here is the question:
“Does speaking the truth warrant a suspension?”
What Tony said while a bit crude was not an incorrect assessment of what Hannah Storm had on. I have listened to Kornheiser for years and he talks about everyone like that.
The only thing I can think of is that ESPN doesn’t allow criticisms of co-workers (unless it is Mel Kiper and Todd McShay).
I understand that, but I think an apology from Tony to Hannah was enough. While Tony may have been wrong saying it on air about a fellow co-worker, do you think these types of “outfits” are acceptable for the position she is in?
Is it a double standard we can make fun of Craig Sager and Shannon Sharpe, but get criticize for saying Storm looks like she is trying out for the Lifetime movie about Tiger Woods transgressions?
ESPN turning into Jersey Shore?
You tell me.

Considering how long she been in the business Hannah may feel like the only way she can continue is to dress provocatively

It's the (partially) feminist movement. You can't joke about a "profesional, serious minded" women without feeling the consequences. Mike Greenburg said what he said on MLK day and he wasn't even sent home for the day.

Maybe she shouldn't have said what he said on air. However, I think it's highly inappropriate attire for work. The men are wearing suits and you're wearing a short skirt and knee high boots. That just screams "Respect me in the workplace". She looks ridiculous standing next to the sista. She's dressed for work. Hannah's dressed for the bar/club.
That's why I can't get down with this feminism stuff. When I become a doctor (which is already a "Boy's Club") do you think I would even dream of dressing like that? Not if I want my patients/colleagues/nurses to take me seriously.
