A love letter Michael Jordan wrote to a high school sweetheart made its way around the internet last week (Michael Jordan High School Love Letter Apologizing to Girlfriend Laquette), so you knew it was only a matter of time before the woman surfaced to try to get her 15 minutes of fame.
She claims the letter was stolen and of course she is threatening to sue, I am just waiting on Gloria Allred to show up. AskKissy.com has the details.
According to the sports auction house Lelands, the letter was auctioned off on their site in December of 2004 for over $5,000.
Laquetta Robinson of Goldsboro said she received the letter from Jordan nearly 30 years ago and thought it was still in her possession until she saw it Friday on a TV show.
That was between him and me, Not anyone else. It wasn’t for anyone else to have knowledge of it. That’s something he wrote to me, at that time, out of his heart.
More than anything, I wouldn’t want Michael to think that I did it, cause I wouldn’t want him to think that I would betray him in this way.
I have two quick thoughts.
I don’t think she is telling the truth, I think she is conspired with a family member on this and I figured MJ would have had a hotter lady in High School, but I digress.
