It should be noted that Alex Smith didn’t want this to be reported. If not for the father of the missing teen putting the information out there, no one would have never known.
Actions always more important than than words and Smith proves that.
The search for missing Morgan Hill teenager Sierra Lamar drew its most famous volunteer to date Saturday, when San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith joined the effort.
Marc Klaas, whose daughter Polly went missing in 1993, confirmed that the 49ers signal-caller was among 581 people who turned out to find the girl who has been missing since March 16.
“Alex Smith was one of the volunteers today,” said Klaas, founder of the KlaasKids Foundation. “He went out with a group on a search for Sierra.”
