Marble Falls Senior Quarterback Mike Richardson broke the state record for passing yards in a single game previously held by Dylan Sheffield of Wichita Falls set just last season of 683 yards. Richardson who passed for 724 yards on 35-45 passing was just 40 yards shy of the National passing record.
“It’s one of (those) deals that we knew we were going to score a lot of points because they were pretty explosive themselves offensively,” Marble Falls head coach Todd Dodge, who won four state championships at Southlake Carroll, said. “We started off hot, got some match-ups we liked. We threw for 722 yards and needed every single one of them.”
If this kid wasn’t on someone’s recruit list, he sure is now.
