This actually really isn’t that hard to believe and we all should have seen this coming at some point.
New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow is now an Ohio State fan, after his former head coach at Florida Urban Meyer took over the reigns in Columbus. Considering their extremely close relationship, it was only going to be a matter of time before Tebow began to support the Buckeyes.
Per The Plain Dealer: When asked about the Ohio State-Purdue game Tebow was quoted as saying, “I was pretty nervous. We were literally taking off as they were about to score and then go for the two-point conversion, so I didn’t know until we landed that they won. So it was pretty cool. And I guess as hard as it is for me to say, I am a pretty big fan now of The Ohio State University.”
This has to be a blow to Florida Gator faithful, who already felt Meyer was a traitor for going to coach Ohio State.
I don’t have a problem with it, as I really just look at it as Tebow supporting his former coach who helped him achieve his numerous accomplishments while playing on Saturdays.
