Do you ever wish that you had LeBron James’ life? Well, this Sunday James may be willing to trade places with you.
James isn’t being shy about the fact that he’s unhappy his Miami Heat have to play an afternoon game against the Raptors in Toronto on Super Bowl Sunday. Since the Heat have to be back in Miami for a home game Monday night against Charlotte, the 2 p.m. (ET) start on Sunday means that the Heat will miss most, if not all of the Super Bowl on their return flight home from Canada (Miami’s plane reportedly doesn’t have WiFi or Satellite television).
“How disgusting is that?” James told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel (via SlamOnline.com) about possibly missing all of the live broadcast of the Super Bowl. “If the Cowboys were in the Super Bowl, I’d stay there (Toronto) for the game.”
Tough break for James and his teammates, but it’s part of the luxury tax that they all pay for the privilege of being professional athletes. With that said, it sounds like Rudy Gay might be in for a long afternoon on Sunday.
