I would hope that Romo wouldn’t think he was just average. Romo is being paid like a franchise quarterback, so people are going to expect those type of results.
If he just figured that out the Cowboys could be in trouble.
“We were 8-8 the last couple of years. That doesn’t sit well with me,” Romo told reporters Tuesday,via ESPNDallas. “I don’t think I’m an 8-8 quarterback. I don’t think this organization is comfortable being 8-8. We’re going to do everything we can as coaches, players and in this building to change that. I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
Romo had a cyst removed from his back and the Cowboys say it isn’t anything to worry about, but any type of back injury is cause for concern.
Jerry Jones needs to understand that Romo isn’t Peyton Manning or Roger Staubach, he is simply Tony Romo. Hopefully, for the Cowboys that is good enough to be better than average.
