Larry Bird, aka, Larry Legend may have been the best pure shooter the NBA game has ever seen.
Bird was the ultimate small forward, and one of the best players in the game before he was besieged with back problems.
Bird is now back for another run as the President of the Indiana Pacers, and even though he’s now up there in age, some things never change.
Pacers star guard Paul George, during a conversation with SLAM Online, hinted that Birds still gets up his share of jump shots, and that he can really still shoot the rock.
He picked a ball up that had rolled over. He rolled up his sleeves and made about 15 in a row and just walked out like nothing just happened. It was the craziest thing I’ve seen.
George said he and his Pacers teammates went crazy after that display.
We were speechless. We didn’t know whether to keep shooting or just to end practice. It was sweet, man.
Larry is still the Legend.
