Artist disputes are nothing new; over the years, audiences have witnessed several altercations amongst the heavyweights of the music business. Nevertheless, this alleged conflict between two groups of rappers has definitely intensified, especially in light of the diss tracks produced by Drake, Future, and other artists. Despite all the hostility, NBA star Shaquille O’Neal recently gave Charlamagne a thumbs up, even though he took a harsh stance on Kanye West’s role in the entire situation.

It appears that Shaquille O’Neal has no affection for Kanye West because on his official Instagram Stories, he posted a little clip of Charlamagne’s interview in which the rapper is openly criticizing Ye.

“Kanye West is the leader of the legion of the lame. Okay? What a hating a** human. What type of man sits around and says, ‘We were all energized by the elimination of another man.’ This man is miserable and has never dealt with hurt and pain he’s feeling, he just wants to project it on other people.”

“Future you need to run from Kanye. Metro, what are you doing? All of y’all should be running from Kanye West…Kanye done made the whole thing corny. It was entertaining until he brought his jealous envious a** into the picture.”

The video in question barely concealed Charlamagne’s animosity toward Kanye West. Shaquille O’Neal appears to concur with the musician’s assessment that Kanye West ruined the entire exchange between Drake, Metro Boomin, Kendrick Lamar, and other artists. But to what extent is Kanye truly at fault?

Charlamagne had disclosed in the interview above that West had hated Drake even before he began to take charge. As a matter of fact, Kanye’s animosity toward Drake began during his prime, both in terms of his career and economic dealings with Yezzy’s.

Now, a recent statement Kanye made on the topic issue may serve as a summary of his alleged jealously of Drake, according to Vibe.

“Every bar that Drake said means nothing anymore. Drop and give me 50,’ ain’t nobody dropping to do sh*t. Your raps don’t mean sh*t, ni**a. It doesn’t mean [anything because] the sh*t is artificial. Lucian [Grange] and Drake, all this sh*t is artificial. That’s why gods had to come [together to] pack that boy up.”

It will be fascinating to watch whether Drake or any other rapper decides to take a stand and address Kanye, whether it be in the form of a diss track or an appearance on a podcast.
