The Philadelphia 76ers front office has been under a lot of heat this summer. It all started when they traded all-star Jrue Holliday to New Orleans for Nerlens Noel. It’s apparent Philadelphia is building towards the future.
New general manager Sam Hinkie is looking to gather as much young talent as possible. In his latest attempt to do so, Hinkie plans on inviting 20 players to training camp. Most teams bring a little over 15 players to camp, but rarely do you see teams use the maximum of 20.
“In training camp, you can have up to 20 players,” Hinkie said. “I’m not the kind of guy that you can say that likes to miss out on opportunities. “The chance to have 20 is another chance to learn more about people.”
Maybe the 76ers can find a diamond in the rough.
