The new-look Pelicans added a lot of talent during the summer, particularly in the backcourt. New Orleans acquired all-star Jrue Holiday via a draft day trade, which sent Nerlens Noel to Philadelphia. It didn’t stop there, New Orleans also landed Tyreke Evans in a 3-team deal.
Therefore, the Pelicans backcourt has a solid rotation in Gordon, Holiday and Evans. It sounds like it could be bound for some drama on who will start or not but Tyreke Evans stated back in July that he has no problem coming off the bench.
Pelicans head coach Monty Williams is rolling with the idea.

Once this core learns how to play together, look out for the Pelicans to make some noise in the west.
