The Dallas Mavericks have been on the good side of two missed calls in the final seconds. Everybody is familiar with the non-call involving Shawn Marion and Kevin Love a couple of weeks ago.
Just a few days ago, the NBA announced they missed a late-game foul involving Dallas. Monta Ellis blatantly fouled Austin Rivers as he was rising for a game-tying three.
Mavs owner Mark Cuban decided to speak on the issue.
“I love the transparency,” Cuban said of the league’s decision to admit when there’s been a mistake, via The Dallas Morning News‘ Brad Townsend. “Now, if I can just get them to do the same level of transparency for the other 47 minutes, 55 seconds, we’ll really be making progress.”
It’s hard not to agree with Cuban here.
