Roger Goodell

Last week Roger Goodell spoke at an event where he was asked about letting players to smoke weed for medical reasons in states where it’s legal. Here is what he had to say:

“I don’t know what’s going to develop as far as the next opportunity for medicine to evolve and to help either deal with pain or help deal with injuries,” Goodell said.  “But we will continue to support the evolution of medicine.”

Eventually, the league will have to address this issue. Right now with weed only being legal in 2 states, it’s on the radar but not something thats pressing. Clearly the country is moving towards a more accepting view on smoking and the league will have to adapt like everyone else.
