The defections from the Bruins continue.
The L.A. Daily News is reporting that UCLA freshman guard Zach LaVine will enter the NBA Draft.
The 6-foot-5 guard will forgo his remaining eligibility and enter the NBA draft, his father Paul told the Los Angeles Daily News. After averaging 9.4 points for the Bruins this past season, LaVine is projected to be a potential first-round pick despite his recent uneven play.
The Bruins’ 79-68 loss to Florida in the Sweet 16 on Thursday captured his season well. LaVine scored five points over 75 seconds in the first half, pulling UCLA to within two on a 3-point play; he did not score again, missing all three of his shots in the second half.
