The Mike Krzyzewski coaching tree will be analyzed for years to come like so many NFL guys analyzed all the great coaches who learned under Bill Parcells.

Add former Duke point guard Steve Wojciechowski to that list.  Wojo has just been named head coach at Marquette according to Jeff Goodman.

Wojciechowski, 37, played at Duke in the late 1990′s, has been on Mike Krzyzewski’s staff since 1999 — and was elevated to associate head coach in 2008.

He replaces Buzz Williams, who led Marquette to the NCAA tournament in five of his six seasons at the helm.

Glenn Erby, great call on reporting Marquette’s rumored pursuit of Wojo! No one believed me when I told them the rumor, but you were right.

He’s a pretty awesome consolation prize for not getting Shaka Smart!
