If you’re an Oklahoma City Thunder fan, hoping to get into Chesapeake Energy Arena to take in some playoff action, there could be some bad news for you; depending on where you live.
The Bleacher Report is reporting that unless your credit card’s billing address is in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, or Nebraska, you won’t be able to purchase tickets through the team’s website. For the geographically challenged–yes, this means you Memphis fans.
Unfortunately for many NBA enthusiasts around the country, if you don’t live in the selected states you will be scouring the open market and undoubtedly, paying just a tad more than you would like to.
The Thunder are trying to ensure that their world-class home court advantage stays just that, an overwhelming advantage. All around pro sports, such practice seems to be becoming somewhat of a trend. And why not? It worked for Seattle in the NFC championship game this past season, didn’t it?
