After reports earlier in the day indicated that Cleveland Cavaliers Kyrie Irving would likely sign the maximum contract extension he was to be offered by the Cavs, Irving himself took to Twitter to announce that he would indeed be staying in Cleveland for the foreseeable future.
I'm here for the long haul Cleveland!!! and I'm ecstatic!! Super excited and blessed to be here and apart of something special.#ClevelandKID

This is great news for the Cavs, who have struggled in the past to keep their stars around (Lebron James anyone?). Now Cleveland can turn their attention to free agency and filling out the rest of their roster.
