Shawn Marion has played some very important minutes for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season. The Cavs signed Marion last off-season to help spare LeBron James some minutes and to bring his veteran presences to a very young team with very little playoff experience. The Cavs have really been on a roll lately but will have to play without Marion for the next couple weeks.
Results of the MRI on Shawn Marion are in. He has a strained L hip. Expected to be out 2 weeks.

LeBron has preached to the team and the media all season that the team need to trust the process and look at the bigger picture, and it seems like Marion has really bought in to that idea.
“We have a good thing going right now. It’s about the bigger picture to me. I’ll force it if I need. Right now it’s still early, we still have a little time.”
Marion’s mental approach and locker room presence plays a bigger role for the Cavs than his 5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Marion has announced that he will retire after this season but will play an important part in the Cavs playoff run.
