The Charlotte Hornets have been without their star point guard for 14 games now, but it looks like Kemba Walker will be ready to play soon.
According to the Hornets, Walker has been cleared for all basketball-related activities, so the next step in his rehab is to begin practicing without any restrictions.
This is big news for the Hornets, who are currently in a dogfight with the Brooklyn Nets, among others, for the eighth and final playoff seed in the East.
Mo Williams has stepped in nicely during Walker’s rehab, but the team will be much better served sticking with the original plan – Kemba at the helm, deciding the franchise’s potential playoff-future.
With doctors officially giving the okay, look for the young guard to return to the starting lineup soon.
