The 2014 NFL season seems a distant memory, yet the Deflategate scandal still lingers. On Tuesday, the league held a 10-hour appeal hearing for Patriots QB Tom Brady. However, there are still some players that feel that both the Patriots and Brady deserve harsher penalties.
Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders happens to be part of the group of NFL players speaking out against the Patriots’ cheating ways.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m kind of mad. I don’t think that they [New England] should be the Super Bowl champion this year.”
“You aren’t supposed to cheat,” Sanders said. “Cheating is not good, especially when you’ve got guys who are working their butts off for 365 days out of the year and one person cheats — whether it helps them win the Super Bowl or not, they still cheated and shouldn’t be a champion.”
Other players have come out and said that everyone cheats, and the Patriots just happened to get caught. Either way, the final decision rests with the NFL.
