What a difference a year makes.
Second year high flyer Zach LaVine saw his playing time come and go sporadically throughout his rookie campaign. However, interim head coach Sam Mitchell plans on getting the most out of his young guys, which includes inserting LaVine into the starting lineup.
“[Mitchell] told LaVine that decision is written in pencil, not pen, and that the job is his to lose or give away.”
When veteran Kevin Martin went down with injury, LaVine got some experience being a starter, but it’s a different animal when you’re named a starter before the season.
Ricky Rubio should have a lot of fun throwing alley-oops to Andrew Wiggins and LaVine.
