The Eagles defense did enough to win a close game over the Cowboys but it didn’t come without a major blow. Rookie linebacker Jordan Hicks made a huge play during last night game that help pushed the Eagles past the Cowboys. Hicks jumped a route, picked Matt Cassel off and took it back to the crib for six. That play will have to be one Hicks remembers for a while after the team decided to place him on the season ending injured reserved list.

Hicks has 50 tackles, 2 interceptions and 1 sack this season. The defense will have to step up in his absence if the team has plans of making the playoffs.
