It’s always wise to practice safety measures while on water slides. David Salmon will probably learn to keep his arms by his body if he ever gets on a water slide again.
People don’t get on rollercoasters because of fear. Some don’t do water activities because they don’t swim. Water slides offer a little bit of both of these thrills but you must follow precaution because if not, you’ll end up with more than just a wedgie.
Dallas native David Salmon flew off the water slide and to be 100% honest, it’s tough to not laugh but he was seriously hurt as he flew about 10-15 on to rocks.
It happened over the weekend at a private home near Lake Travis in the Austin area. David Salmon posted video of the accident on his Facebook page.
The video shows him going down the slide, flying out and falling 10 or 15 feet onto the rocks below.
“Too dang old to be going down water slides. Fell off this one that is over a rocky cliff,” he wrote in the caption of the video.
Rescue crews had a difficult time reaching Salmon because of the location of the slide. He ended up in the hospital with a broken arm, several broken ribs and had lacerations, cuts and bruises on his back.
After watching this video a few times, the curve of that water slide seems a bit suspect for a human body to slide through. Next time you get on a water slide, think of this man.
